A northeast Missouri girl has been taken by her non-custodial father, and authorities are asking for your help to find her.

The Macon County Sheriff's Office said Nevaeh Colton, 4, of Macon went to Columbia, Missouri with her dad on Monday morning.

He was supposed to return the little girl to her mother in Macon at 5 p.m. Monday, but he didn't.

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Joshua Lambert, a black male, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

Lambert is wanted on a charge of parental kidnapping. Investigators believe he and Nevaeh may be headed to Louisiana or Texas.

They are in a tan 1993 Buick with Missouri license plates WF4-J7V.

The two were last seen in Columbia, Missouri.

Tom Skinner with the Macon County Sheriff's Office told KTVO Tuesday night that they don't have any information indicating that Nevaeh is in any danger, but they want to see the little girl returned home safely.

He said the FBI is assisting in the case.
