The Macon Fire Department held an illicit drug training course in their basement Saturday afternoon. The course was one of eight hazardous material courses the Missouri Emergency Response Commission approves for the year. The courses are put in place to keep emergency personnel alert and cautious while on duty. The course was open to all Macon County officials. KTVO spoke with the Macon Fire Department about what this means for our citizens.
â??Training is always the key to success. we have to plan and train for things before they happen that way wherever it's time to go deal with it, you're not mistakes,â?? says Fireman Matthew Bunton.
The course was instructed by Protrain Inc. Safety Training.
