A new $15,000 infrastructure grant was presented to Macon County Ministries on behalf of Macon County Economic Development.
The infrastructure grant money came from funds from the landfill fee program.
The money will be used to build a new loading dock.
??It's been unsafe to this point. We haven't gotten anybody hurt but we have really been testing a little bit. It's going to be much easier to maybe get more food as a result of being able to possibly down the road bring trailers in and bigger trucks in,?? said J.D. King from Macon County Ministries.
The $15,000 will be matched with another $15,000 Macon County Ministries has raised through other campaigns.
The next food distribution will take place Tuesday, July 15, at the Macon Food Bank Center beginning at noon.
