      Macon County traffic stop leads to arrest of two

      On Thursday morning, Macon County Sheriff??s Deputies arrested Michael R. Boone, 26, of Bevier, Mo., on an active Macon County warrant for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of synthetic cannabinoid.Also arrested was Megan L. Jefferies, 22, of Macon, Mo., for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of synthetic cannabinoid. The arrests were the result of a traffic stop near Macon around six Thursday morning.During the stop, deputies learned the driver, Boone, had an active Macon County warrant. The discovery of drug paraphernalia and synthetic cannabinoids resulted in a further investigation.The illegal contraband was found in the suspect??s vehicle and on Jefferies person. The Macon County Sheriff??s Office was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol K-9 Unit during the traffic stop.
