Macon golf tournament encourages local networking and shopping
Mulligans, bogeys, pars and birdies, the Macon Area Chamber of Commerce saw it all Friday at their annual golf scramble at the Macon Country Club. This event raises money for the Macon Area Chamber of Commerce so they can put on other events later on in the year. It is a great way for people to network in the community and surrounding areas. This fun way to network shows how little you have to travel to get what you need in the Heartland.
â??I think doing business locally is really a very important thing within your community and I think that this was sort of helps grow that part of it as well. You sometimes maybe forget a certain company that might be here that you can work with for whatever it might be with your business. So this really does help as well and it keeps the business here and locally in macon cause I do believe we really do have most everything that you could possibly ever want in Macon,â?? said Sharon Scott Macon Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.
