Macon Healthcare Center ranked by 'US News and World Report'

A local nursing home is being honored for their hard work.

The Macon Healthcare Center has been ranked 'Best Nursing Home' in the state of Missouri by 'US News and World Report'. The Healthcare Center has received a five-star ranking.

The Macon Healthcare Center has ranked best in the Show-Me-State every year since 2010. The nursing homes are scored in three areas by 'US News and World Report'. Those areas include health inspections, nurse staffing, and quality measures.

The Center has achieved the highest honor while operating under strict compliance rules for Medicare and Medicaid. The nursing staff and residents at the Center are thrilled to be honored with a high ranking for the fourth year in a row.

"It's very rewarding, and it makes you feel very excited," said Rachel Richardson, Macon Healthcare Center Administrator.

Other centers awarded best in the state include NHC Joplin, Springfield Rehabilitation Center and Osage Beach Rehabilitation Center.
