The 28th Annual Old Time Flywheel Reunion wrapped up today at the Macon County Fairgrounds. For those of you who are wondering what that is, a flywheel is an old engine used mainly in oil fields. The three day event included a variety of food and festivities. Spectators took in horse and tractor shows, along with antique car and engine exhibitions. Those involved tell us people come from all over to participate in the reunion activities.
Mainly we just get everyone together, run these engines, show them, kind of get a crowd in and let people enjoy it, said Flywheel participant Logan Hembrough. The festival was put on by the Macon County Flywheel and Collectible Club.
