Male-friendly services during Men's Health Week
Itâ??s National Men's Health Week and local health officials are aiming to make their services male-friendly.
Individuals, families and communities are working to encourage men to live healthy.
This week is also about encouraging early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys.
A few ways men can be sure their health is in good condition is to be physically active, schedule regular checkups, sleep well and manage stress.
The Adair County Health Department is reminding citizens that they offer preventative care this week and every week.
â??We offer clinic services three days a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We offer blood pressure screening. We can do cholesterol testing, blood sugar testing, hemoglobin testing. We can do things like that here,â?? said Lori Guffey of the Adair County Health Department.
The Adair County Health Department Clinic is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
