      Man charged after child porn found on computer

      Nicholas Dickinson,31, of Newtown, faces two felony counts of possession of child pornography

      A Sullivan County man is behind bars after being put on a 24-hour hold pending an investigation of possession of child pornography.

      Nicholas Dickinson, 31, of Newtown, Missouri was arrested on Friday, May 3, 2013. On Saturday, May 4, 2013 he was served an arrest warrant for two felony counts of possession of child pornography.

      Officers with the Kirksville Regional Computer Crimes Unit and the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office carried out the search warrant Thursday, May 2, 2013 at a home in Newtown. The warrant was related to online activity involving the download of child pornography.

      Investigators identified the owner of the computer as Dickinson and arrested him after locating numerous video and image files of suspected child porn.

      Dickinson is being held at Davies-Dekalb Regional Jail on a $50,000 cash only bond.
