A Kirksville man is behind bars after he allegedly dragged a woman by her hair and threatened to throw her over a bridge, into a river.
Dustin Partin, 19, of Kirksville is facing charges of domestic assault, felonious restraint and possession of a controlled substance.
According to official documents, Partin entered the woman's home, and immediately began arguing. The argument quickly became violent and the woman claims Partin grabbed both her shoulders, shook her into an extreme discomfort before grabbing her hair, forcing her to the ground, and dragging her into her bedroom, threatening he was going to kill her.
Partin then allegedly grabbed a pair of scissors, placed them on the woman's throat and stated "I'll slice your neck if you scream," but this man's series of assaults does not end there.
Police documents states that he forced the woman in her car, drove her to a bridge and stated he was going to throw her over the bridge into the Chariton River, while slapping her several times.
We're told by police that they found Partin at the woman's home where he denied threatening and assaulting the woman, and said he did not hold her against her will.
Police also found paraphernalia used for marijuana, in which he did admit was his.
Partin is in the Adair County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
