While early diagnosis from screenings can allow doctors to provide you with the best treatment options, an Ottumwa cancer specialist says new research shows a direct correlation between obesity and physical inactivity in relation to breast cancer.
â??We have done a lot of advancement in treatment and early detection with mammograms and other technology, but at the same time, we have to work more on prevention, work on physical activity and preventing obesity and trying to do all those things that would actually prevent it from even happening, we won't have to invest so much in screening and treatment,â?? Praveen Vikas, MD, Ottumwa Regional Healt Center Medical Oncologist said.
