Meet 11-year-old Jillian Albrecht of Green City. She has always been a true country girl due to her family TMs background in farming and agriculture. But it was her mother TMs love with horses that made her decide that was the path she wanted to take and has enjoyed every moment with them.
I was raised with them and they are just so sweet. They are just something I always loved. They are amazing and intelligent creatures. Jillian along with her horse and best friend Cheater has competed at horse shows and rodeos all across the Midwest including The American Royal. She has received many awards and much recognition. But it takes lots of dedication and hard work.
It does take a lot of hard work but it pays off. I feed him every morning and evening. After school, I TMll ride him for an hour or two everyday to help keep him tuned up.
Jillian in the past has been the winner of Little Miss Rodeo Missouri but her proudest moment came recently when she won the title of Junior Miss Rodeo Missouri 2012.
It TMs an amazing honor and I was so excited when I got it. I can TMt wait for next year to do all the rodeos and appearances. It TMs all going to be amazing times that I know I TMm going to have.
Jillian wants to continue keeping agriculture her life and plans to be the queen of all rodeos.
I want to be Miss Teen Rodeo Missouri and Miss Rodeo Missouri. If I win that title, I want to go to Las Vegas and compete for Miss Rodeo America and hopefully win that title and go represent the sport of rodeo all over the United States.
Jillian also takes her hard work and dedication into the classroom by being in the honor roll, student council, and the school band. She hopes to be a veterinarian someday.
Congratulations Jillian on being this week TMs Ag Kid.
