Memphis man hurt after wrecking motorcycle

A northeast Missouri man is recovering from injuries suffered when he wrecked his motorcycle.

It happened at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on Scotland County Route MM half a mile south of Memphis.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Russell Matthew, 34, of Memphis was southbound on the blacktop when his motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Matthew suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to Scotland County Hospital in a patrol car for treatment.

The online crash report states Matthew was not wearing a helmet.

The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office and Memphis Police Department assisted at the scene of the crash.
