Memphis motorcyclist ejected after hitting deer

A northeast Missouri motorcyclist was injured Wednesday morning after striking a deer in the roadway.

It happened at 5:10 a.m. on Scotland County Route CC, seven miles northwest of Memphis.

Troopers said Robert Tinkle, 35, of Memphis, was eastbound on CC when he hit a deer in the blacktop.

The motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment, ejecting Tinkle.

Tinkle suffered moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center for treatment.

According to the online crash report, Tinkle was wearing a helmet.
