A northeast Missouri woman arrested in the Heartland on Minnesota murder charges has now been transferred back to Minnesota.

Amy Romero, 29, of Milan has been indicted on charges of 1st-degree murder, 2nd-degree murder and 3rd-degree murder.

She is also charged with two counts of manslaughter and one count each of neglect of a child and endangering a child.

According to information from the Sibley County Sheriff's Office in Minnesota, it's alleged that back in 2001, Romero, known then as Amy Aune, gave birth to a baby girl at her residence in Sibley County.

Investigators allege she then caused the baby's death by taking it out to a wooded area and leaving it there.

Romero appeared at a bail hearing Thursday in a Minnesota courtroom and was appointed an attorney.

She is being held on $250,000 bond.

Her next court appearance is set for March 15, 2012.
