The missing puppy Dipstick has been found and will be getting a new home in Burlington and a new name.
The Hawk Eye says the Chihuahua mix was reported missing from the Burlington shelter on Friday. Shelter officials think he was stolen. The pup turned up Tuesday evening in Burlington's Crapo Park and was returned to the shelter.
A Burlington boy, 11-year-old Trenton Murray, had been visiting the dog at the shelter since seeing him at a June 8 Bark in the Park promotion at Community Park. The boy's dad, Matt Murray, told the newspaper that the family will be adopting little Dipstick and have already given him a new name: Chip.
