Missing Omaha girl found safe in Milan
MILAN, Mo. —
A 12-year-old girl reported missing from Omaha, Nebraska has been found safe in northeast Missouri and taken into protective custody.
According to authorities, family members reported Paw Ku missing on January 9.
The Omaha Police Department Missing Persons Squad developed information that Ku was in the company of an older male and that the two had traveled out of state.
Late Friday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Milan Police Department and the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office were contacted by Nebraska authorities with information that Ku was possibly in the Milan area.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Eric Brown told KTVO authorities worked to secure a search warrant to a residence where it was believed the girl was staying.
He says that when inside the home, three suspects were detained and Ku was located just after 3:00 a.m. Saturday.
Brown says Paw Ku was in good condition and healthy when found by officers.
A fourth suspect turned himself in at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office later in the morning on Saturday.
At this time, the suspects have been placed on a 24-hour investigative hold.
KTVO will update this story as more details become available.
