On Thursday, the Missouri Department of Transportation, or MoDOT, began its annual Day of Remembrance ceremony at the Macon Regional Office.
Families, MoDOT workers and those who wished to pay their respects gathered Thursday afternoon to remember those who lost their lives while carrying out their duties at MoDOT.
KTVO spoke to Helen Scott whose cousin, Elmer Lene, is recognized at the memorial. She said this is a great day to get together and remember him. â??He was a fun loving guy,â?? Scott said. â??He died way too young. He and my brother were like brothers. They did everything together.â??
