Morning fender bender ends with two cars in ditch
Ottumwa, Iowa —
It looked worse than it was.
Both drivers walked away unhurt from a Friday morning two-vehicle rear-end collision.
The crash happened on Highway 63 near Copperhead Road, just south of Ottumwa.
According to a sheriff's deputy on the scene, just after 8 a.m. the traffic had slowed on the highway.
The two vehicles were north bound, when a green sedan struck the Nissan mini-van.
Both vehicles ended up in the in the northbound ditch.
The accident didn't affect traffic flow during the busy morning commute on 63.
