A summertime tradition is returning this weekend.
The monthly Movie In The Park begins this Saturday, June 28. The event will be taking place at the Ray Klinginsmith Amphitheatre in Kirksville's Rotary Park.
It's put on by the Kirksville Parks and Rec Department. Organizers say the event is always fun for kids and parents.
"It's going to start at dusk. We are showing Finding Nemo. It's free admission. You just bring a chair or a blanket and come out and enjoy a great movie," said Recreation Specialist Robin Harden.
There'll be two more Movie In The Park events after the one this Saturday. They're scheduled for July 26 and August 23. The movies that will be shown are Despicable Me 2 and Frozen.
