Multiple people hurt in a head-on collision on a busy Heartland highway.

It happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 63 near Sublette, Missouri.

Authorities on scene told KTVO that an initial investigation revealed a red truck was going north when the driver of the truck said he blacked out.

The driver of a white SUV, and the truck driver, told responding law enforcement that the truck crossed over the center line and hit the SUV head-on.

The impact caused the truck to travel across the ditch, and run into the tree line.

The SUV crossed the road, struck an embankment, and then overturned, landing upright.

Troopers on the scene believed four people were transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center, for treatment of so-far unknown injuries.

Witnesses who saw the crash told authorities that they saw the red truck driving erratically just before the crash.
