      Murder suspect waives preliminary hearing

      Glenn Head, 58, of rural Novelty waived his preliminary hearing in Knox County Associate Circuit Court.

      A northeast Missouri man accused of fatally shooting his neighbor gets his case moved to a higher court.


      Glenn Head, 58, of rural Novelty waived his preliminary hearing in Knox County Associate Circuit Court. That means his case is headed to Knox County Circuit Court.


      Head is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the December 2012 shooting death of Bill Bacon, 67, also of rural Novelty.


      The two had reportedly been involved in an ongoing dispute. Head has been free on bond since a few days after the murder.
