Windy conditions made containing a fire more difficult Friday afternoon.

Around 12:30 p.m., northeast Missouri firefighters were called to a blaze on Route D in Schuyler County.

A shed had caught on fire and was burning near a wooded area.

The shed was destroyed in the blaze, but no other structures were impacted.

A portion of the grass near the roadway was also charred by the flames.

When KTVO arrived on the scene, firefighters were working to spray hot spots.

No injuries were reported, and the cause has not been determined at this time.

Fire crews stress that you should not burn during windy conditions.
