NEMO teen killed when flung from overturned car
NEAR SHELBINA, Mo. —
A northeast Missouri teen is dead after being flung from a car during a rollover crash.
It happened just after 3:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon on Highway 36, one mile east of Shelbina, Missouri.
State troopers identify the victim as McKenzie Craigg, 18, of Clarence, Missouri.
Craigg was a passenger in a car driven by Keith Bond, 23, of Palmyra, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Bond traveled off the right side of the roadway where the car overturned, ejecting Craigg.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bond, and a second passenger, Donovan Barnes, 19, of Palmyra, both suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
According to the online crash report, Barnes and Craigg were not buckled up.
Bond was wearing his seat belt.
