A northeast Missouri teen charged in connection with a Thanksgiving weekend shooting was in court Wednesday morning. Kirksville Police were called to a residence on Roselene Drive November 25th. When officers arrived, they found a female victim who had been shot in the chest.According to court papers, the victim had been sitting in a car at the time of the shooting. Tyler Treece, 18, of Edina, is charged with first degree assault, shooting into a motor vehicle, armed criminal action, second degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the shooting. Treece waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday and the case was bound over to circuit court. He is scheduled to be arraigned in circuit court on December 20th.
