Just before 12:30 p.m. Monday, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car vs. semi crash at the intersection of Highway 218 and Iowa Avenue, south of Mt. Pleasant.

A vehicle driven by Angela Neal, of Mt. Pleasant, failed to stop at a stop sign on Iowa Avenue, striking the rear wheels of a southbound semi.

Neal told authorities that her brakes went out, causing her to not be able to stop.
