North Missouri man charged with attempted murder

A Marshall, Missouri man is behind bars in connection with a shooting incident in Mercer County early Friday evening.
Eugene William Pattie, 64, of Marshall was taken into custody after police say he was involved in an alleged forcible sexual assault on Virginia Niemeyer a 59-year-old female.
We've learned that the Mercer County Sheriff's office got the call just before 5:30 Friday evening regarding a shooting where a David Niemeyer a 67-year-old male was found shot three times.
At that time, Pattie had left the scene and went to the residence of David Niemeyer and Virginia Niemeyer where they arrested Pattie.
The sheriffâ??s office in Mercer County tell us Pattie is being charged with one count of attempted murder, two counts of armed criminal action, felony assault and felony attempted forcible rape.
Pattie is being held in the Mercer County Jail with bond denied.
