Northeast Missouri family out in the cold following fire
A blaze has left a northeast Missouri family out in the cold.
The house fire happened around 11:45 Tuesday morning, just east of Green Castle, at the home of Brek and Veronica Snyder.
Brad Ray with Novinger-Northern Fire Department tells KTVO the mobile home's furnace caught on fire.
The Snyders were outside the home getting ready to leave when they noticed smoke.
No one was injured.
Ray says the home is not livable right now, but it is fixable.
It suffered quite a bit of smoke and water damage.
The Red Cross is assisting the Snyders.
The Green Castle Fire Department helped Novinger-Northern battle the blaze.
Crews were on the scene for just over an hour.
