      Northeast Missouri man seriously injured in crash

      A northeast Missouri man was badly hurt after his minivan collided with a dump truck late Monday morning.

      The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a minivan driven by Dan Baker, 51, of Kirksville, struck the rear of a dump truck that was slowing to turn into a driveway.

      The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. on Highway 36 at Anabel. The patrol said the dump truck was driven by John Meisner, 67, of Macon.

      Baker was seriously injured. He was airlifted to a Columbia hospital for treatment of his injuries.
