A northern Missouri woman wrecked her car Thursday evening after sliding out of control on slick pavement.

That crash happened at 9 p.m. Thursday on Sullivan County Route E, four miles west of Milan.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said April Wipple, 22, of Princeton, Missouri, lost control of her car on the ice-covered roadway.

Investigators say the vehicle traveled off the right side of the blacktop and overturned.

Wipple suffered moderate injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Sullivan County Hospital in Milan and later flown to University Hospital in Columbia.

The online crash report states Wipple was wearing a seat belt.
