Elected officials in one Heartland county are making an effort to better work together.
Adair County elected officials meet once a month at the courthouse. Officials ranging from the clerk to the collector to the assessor are in attendance at the meetings. The county commissioners say these meetings are very useful by helping to identify problems and allowing for officials to work them out.
??It's just a matter of answering any questions. There's always rumors about this and rumors about that. Questions that need to be answered. It's a good place for everyone to come in, sit down and have any concerns, we'll take care of them with everybody present,?? said Carson Adams, First District Adair County Commissioner.
The officials meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
The meetings are open to the public and they are always encouraged to attend.
