Ottumwa High School hosts clean-up day Saturday

Saturday, May 4 is Clean-Up Day at OHS.

Do you want to make your community a better place to live?

Students at Ottumwa High School do, and that's why they've organized a first-ever campus beautification day. On Saturday, May 4, volunteers will help pick up trash and litter, plant trees and flowers and make Ottumwa High School's campus as pleasing as can be.

"We don't have any of our sports meets here, so as people drive by or just look at the school, you want it to look as presentable as possible," said Madyson Feather, an OHS Sophomore.

Clean-up Day will begin at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria, then volunteers will be broken into groups and work on projects from 9:30 a.m. until noon. The day is funded by Ottumwa High School's IS3 Grant.

Everyone and anyone is welcome to attend.
