Diversity was on full display Saturday in Ottumwa during the annual International Festival.
The aroma of international cuisines filled the Quincy Place Mall as several different ethnic groups sampled native delicacies.
International clothing was also on display and flags from many of the countries represented hung from the ceiling.
Entertainment for the event included musical performances as well as belly dancing.
Event creator Ed Ball said the event wouldn't be possible without the time and donations from local vendors and restaurants, but the main goal was still to create understanding and acceptance of the diverse Ottumwa community.
??It was brought together basically to get the people in this community to understand each other's ethnic group,?? said Ball.
This year marked the event's 15th year anniversary and it continues to grow each year.
