Ottumwa house fire officially ruled arson
A house fire that left six Ottumwans without a home has been officially ruled arson.
Assistant Ottumwa Fire Chief Cory Benge confirmed the ruling on Monday morning.
The fire occurred at 1630 Locust St. on July 14, around 2 a.m.
The Ottumwa Fire Department along with assistance from the Ottumwa Police Department is seeking the publicâ??s assistance in obtaining any information regarding this fire.
A reward is available to anyone whom has information which leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the crime stoppers hotline at 641-684-5555 or the Ottumwa Fire Department at 641-683-0666.
