Ottumwa Regional Health Center CEO resigns
Phil Dionne has stepped down as CEO of Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
Jeff Atwood, Vice President of Communications for Regional Care Hospital Partners, said the resignation was effective Monday, but he does not know the reason or background behind Dionne's decision.
An interim CEO is already in place and when the search for a permanent replacement begins, Atwood said they're looking for a candidate who understands the challenges and the benefits that comes with working in a community like Ottumwa.
"There's a lot of great things going on at the hospital," Atwood said. "We've recruited a number of doctors, we've expanded the emergency department, we've improved the ICU and so we'll find a great CEO to lead us into the future."
Dionne had been with Ottumwa Regional Health Center for two years.
