Ottumwa search warrants yield drugs and arrests

Four search warrants executed by the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force on Wednesday have yielded a large amount of drugs and four arrests.

The task force, along with the Wapello County Sheriff's Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and Ottumwa Police Department, executed search warrants at three Ottumwa residences as well as Smoke N Go on East Main Street in Ottumwa.

The investigation yielded several thousand packages of synthetic cannabinoids, also known as K-2 or spice, which was being sold at Smoke N Go.

Officers also seized a large amount of marijuana, items of paraphernalia, cash and firearms.

Arrested as part of the investigation are 30-year-old Jesse Leon, charged with two Class D felonies and an aggravated misdemeanor and 19-year-old Brooke Ellis, charged with two Class D felonies.

20-year-old Christopher Wood is charged with three counts of delivery of a simulated controlled substance. All counts are aggravated misdemeanors.

22-year-old Nathan Noe was also arrested on four counts of delivery of a simulated controlled substance.
