An Ottumwa man charged with seriously injuring a toddler is apparently ready to enter a plea.
Online court records indicate that Dustin Dewayne Armstrong, 20, is scheduled for a plea proceeding on April 14.
The plea proceeding means that Armstrongâ??s trial wonâ??t start Tuesday as scheduled.
In April of 2013, Ottumwa police responded to a report of an unresponsive two-year-old at a home on Woodland Avenue.
The childâ??s injuries were so bad the boy had to be airlifted to Iowa City.
After a nearly six week investigation, police arrested Armstrong.
According to police reports, he was the only adult home at the time of the boy was injured
Armstrong is charged with multiple felony counts, including child endangerment.
