Ottumwa's Old School Arcade makes for a great Father's Day

Some Heartland families celebrated Father's Day in an unusual way Sunday afternoon, with a trip to an 80's style video game arcade.

Ottumwa's Old School Arcade's three-day Summer Party concluded Sunday with prizes being awarded to the top scorers.

Makayla Golston, 11, attended the event with her father. She says it was one of the best days of his life.

"It's been so long since he's gone to an arcade and just to see those old games as he walks in, I just see his eyes fill up with joy. So, I'm just following him around."

Attendees also enjoyed various carnival rides and took part in an auction.

All proceeds from the Old School Arcade Summer Party went to Sieda Community Actions.
