People in Fairfield celebrate the life of JFK

Those who were alive in 1963, more than likely remember what they doing and where they were when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

Well Friday night at 6:30, dozens of people in the community gathered at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center to commemorate the life of JFK on the 50th anniversary of his death. Here people enjoyed dinner, viewed exclusive pictures in a PowerPoint slide show taken by a friend of JFK who is from Des Moines and people shared where they were when they heard the tragic news of JFK's death.

â??Also feature speaker is [Iowa] Attorney General Tom Miller and speaking also is Tom Ruble who is the executive dean at Indian Hills Community College and Steve Siegel our supervisor from Ottumwa,â?? Rob Hubler, organizer said. â??They are both candidates for Senate District 41.â??

In addition to celebrating the life of JFK, the group in Fairfield also be discussed the things the former president wanted to accomplish.
