Photo exhibit of Missouriâ??s fallen on display

A very emotional exhibit, â??Remembering Our Fallen,â?? is a stark reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by over 140 Missourians killed in The War on Terror while wearing our countryâ??s uniform in a war zone. The photo display, which includes pictures of each of Missouriâ??s Fallen, will be traveling throughout Missouri and will be coming to the Macon Public Library, for display January 21-30, 2014.

There is no admission charge. The exhibit is open to the public, during the regular hours of the Macon Public Library (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m to 8 p.m. Wednesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). The Library is located at the corner of Rutherford and Butler Streets in Macon.

"Remembering Our Fallen," is a state-based touring photo display honoring Missouri military members who have died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, since September 11, 2001. Some of the heroes from the local area honored in this display are:

The â??Remembering Our Fallenâ?? traveling exhibit is being brought to Macon and hosted by American Legion Post 29, Legion Auxiliary Unit 29, and the Macon Public Library, with financial support also provided by Macon-Atlanta State Bank, Hughes Welding Service, the Macon Jaycees, and State Representative Tim Remole.
