One Heartland church helped to bring kids and families together to help raise money for a great cause.
The Life Church in Kirksville held the Hope Ball Basketball Tournament at the Kirksville High School Gym on Saturday morning.
About 25 teams of kids competed on the court as parents and family members watched on the sidelines.
There were also concessions, barbeque and music for the turnout of about 150 people to enjoy.
Organizers were very happy and appreciated the community support.
"It makes us feel good that we are doing something for the community. We are supporting families. It's an outreach for the teenagers and the kids in the community that they can come to a family atmosphere. Everyone together in unity, having fun and playing basketball," said Jermaine Talton from Destined for Purpose.
The tournament was held to help raise fund's for the church's Destined For Purpose Youth Group, which helps restores hope to teens and put them in the right direction.
