Police arrest school employee for sex with student

The Bloomfield police department has made another arrest involving a different Davis County school employee having sex with a female student.

KTVO has learned that Patrick Ryan Nicoletto, 33, of Bloomfield, often known as Ryan Nicoletto, has been arrested and charged with sexual exploitation by a school employee. Nicoletto is the second Davis County school employee to be charged with this crime.

In September, officials arrested former Davis County teacher Ryan Grinstead and charged him with the same crime. The alleged incidents occurred in 2009. Click here for a previous story.

Nicoletto is not a teacher but has been assistant coach to the football and baseball teams at the school.

Bloomfield police Chief Shawn Armstrong says the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed.

Nicoletto will make his initial court appearance Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Davis County courthouse.

As of 9:10 p.m. KTVO did not receive any comment from the school district. Chief Armstrong says the district is fully co-operating in the investigation.

The state attorney general TMs office is prosecuting the case. Davis County attorney Rick Lynch has asked to recluse himself from the case since he serves as the school district TMs attorney.
