UPDATE: Scott B. Walsh is now in custody in Boone County, Missouri, and is no longer being sought by authorities.

Northeast Missouri authorities are searching for a registered sex offender who did not report back after going on furlough.

Scott B. Walsh, 46, did not return from a furlough granted last week. Walsh was jailed while awaiting trial for sexual exploitation of a child stemming from an incident in September in which Walsh reportedly asked for a nude video of a 12-year-old boy.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online sex offender database, Walsh was convicted of deviate sexual intercourse with a 10-year-old boy. He was convicted and added to the registry in 2004.

Anyone with information on Walsh’s whereabouts should contact local law enforcement.
