It's that time of the year -- fair time in Bloomfield.
The fairgrounds were full of activity Monday afternoon as organizers prepared to kick off the 150th annual Davis County Fair on Wednesday. Some of the early activities involve the area's 4-H members, like the expo judging all day Tuesday, the horse and sheep show Thursday and the beef judging on Friday.
For 4-H members in Bloomfield, the fair is the time when all of their hard work pays off.
"They just have fun and I think they've worked all year to... this is kind of the end result to all the projects and what they've done for the year," said Lana Minnick, 4H Youth Program Coordinator. "And I think they've just worked up for it and they just have fun, it's a good time."
New on the fairgrounds this year is a donated playground area for kids. The playground was constructed Monday and will remain on site even after the fair is over.
