Prior offender arrested for having a concealed weapon
A prior offender from northeast Missouri is back behind bars facing a weapons charge.
The Schuyler County Sheriff's Office says Robert Dobson, 65, of Downing is charged with one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
Dobson was arrested Monday night by sheriff's deputies at a Queen City bar after someone reported that Dobson was intoxicated and had a gun in his possession.
When deputies wearing bullet-proof vests got there and asked Dobson if he had any weapons, he told them he had a "shank" concealed in the inside of his pant leg.
Investigators found the sharp, knife-like weapon and arrested Dobson.
He's being held in the Schuyler County Jail with bond set at $20,000 cash only.
Dobson was previously convicted of felony possession of a firearm back in 2011.
