      Prison time for two Ottumwa men sentenced on drug charges

      <font size="3" face="Times New Roman">Domingo Zapata Jr., 22 and Amado Gallegos, 23</font>

      On Wednesday, two Ottumwa men were sentenced to federal prison for selling methamphetamine in Ottumwa during the spring of 2013.

      Domingo Zapata Jr., 22, was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison after entering a guilty plea to Conspiracy to Distribute 50 Grams or more of Actual Methamphetamine.

      Amado Gallegos, 23, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison after entering a guilty plea to Conspiracy to Distribute 50 Grams or more of Actual Methamphetamine.

      Officers from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Narcotics Enforcement, the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force, and the Ottumwa Police Department, participated in the investigation.
