A northeast Missouri man, who pleaded guilty to a sex related felony charge, will manage to avoid a long prison stretch, if he stays out of trouble during the next five years.
Harrison Collins, 63, of Unionville, entered the plea to a single count of second degree statutory sodomy. He was sentenced back in February to six years in prison, with 120-days in the Sex Offender Treatment Unit.
Following the 120 days, Judge Jack Peace ordered Collins to serve five years probation. If he fails to complete the five years probation without incident, he could be sent back for the remainder of his sentence.
Collins had originally been charged with first degree child molestation.
