Iowa Governor Terry Branstad said Monday that he would consider making the stateâ??s anti-bullying law stronger. That comes following recommendations made during a state conference last week.
Iowa has launched a program aimed at helping parents, school workers and others to prevent bullying and youth suicide. The program is called Your Life Iowa and was announced by Branstad last week at the summit held in Des Moines.
Discussing improving the stateâ??s bullying law on Monday, Branstad said that there are things that, "can be done to strengthen and improve our law."
The governor is in the process of planning his budget and agenda for 2013, which he will be bringing to the Legislature in January.
