Northeast Missouri students had the opportunity to hear about one woman's life-changing experience.
KTVO, along with the Northeast Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety, presented the â??Just Drive Campaign" to Putnam County High School students in Unionville on Thursday.
The students packed the auditorium to listen to speaker Kayle Denny, who has first-hand experience with being involved in a car crash.
The crash took the life of one her best friends.
Kayle was also left with a disabling spinal cord injury.
None of the passengers in the vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
She travels to schools around the state, driving home the importance of always buckling up while traveling in a vehicle.
