Riverside man cited in Henry County crash

A Riverside, Iowa, man was cited for running a stop sign in a Henry County crash Thursday.

Henry County Sheriff's deputies were called to Highway 218, about 10 miles north of Mount Pleasant, where a pickup truck collided with a minivan.

According to a press release issued by the sheriff's office Saturday, 54-year-old Robert Pierce failed to yield at a stop sign near Olds, when his pickup struck the minivan, driven by 42-year-old Tanya Robertson, of Carman, Illinois.

Deputies estimated about $3,000 worth of damage to the pickup and $8,000 worth of damage to the minivan.

The crash report did not indicate if there were any injuries.
